What difference does it make if it was Margaret Thatcher's favorite paper? I read my local paper, and the NY Times, which are very liberal and I'm a conservative. It, like most news media, leans to the liberal view, especially in 2008, we're not talking of Thatcher's era. After all, they're endorsing Obama!

ROTFL @ the economist being a "liberal rag"

That could be one of the most hilarious things I've ever read here

There's a difference between saying "liberal rag" and "left-leaning publication".

I'm fairly sure you knew this though.

Right, just throw that out there. How on earth do you figure that?

Nope. The Economist is libertarian and free market oriented, unlike the candidate you support.

Look...it's simple. The Economist is a conservative paper and Juan McCain is a liberal. Is that clear enough for you?

I have a degree in Economics and I had to reply to the most idiotic post of the day. The Economist is one of the most respected economic publications in the world if not the most respected. Their articles are usually balanced, accurate and thought provoking. Obviously, you have never read the Economist in your life but if you are looking for something a bit more intellectual than FOX News and/or Rush Limbaugh, I would definitely recommend it.

Ugh, I guess I have to go over this again. Obama advocates socialist policies...he will enact the most aggressive push to socialism that our country has ever seen. Are you trying to say that Obama is "free market" and "conservative"? No, I didn't think so. So, I guess "The Economist" is more liberal than you thought.
