1. The population of Chicago is much much larger than the number of Americans in Iraq. So the per capita rate is much much higher in Iraq.

2. You're only including American deaths in Iraq. If you also included Iraqi murders, the rate in Iraq would also be much much higher.

It's interesting to see the brainiacs who love to cheer each other on whenever one of them makes false, misleading claims (also called lies).
That's true. Chicago has a population of almost 2.84 million. And of the 3 largest cities in the U.S., I'd take Chicago over Los Angeles (pollution and crime) and New York (cost) any day.

Wow, this Daley is not a patch on the ass of his old man. An absolute disgrace. But he'll keep getting re-elected, regardless. You'd think the sufferers would want to try something different.

Actually, in many ways, King Richard II IS a patch off the old man's ass. He's got those machine, mob, scare tactic and corruption politics down to second nature.

Chicago's murder rate lowest since 1965

I'm not going to even get into the fact that its ridiculous to hold a state senator responsible for crime rates (theres these things called mayors and police superindetends responsible for that). But if we're going to play this game, why don't point the same finger at McCain. Chicago's murder rate was ranked 20th in 2007. Phoenix's was ranked 21st.

Sounds like they need a police surge. But then I thought the democrats wanted to pullout to save american and british lifes;do they really think there will be less civilian lifes lose if we let a civil war star.Seems they say onje thogn one time and then another the next thing. Talk about misleading as to why we should pull out of Iraq, Just crazy logic.

That progress is even better than the 'surge'.
