proper education? you mean the socialist propaganda machine the liberals like to spout off about? or do you mean the schools where teen girls are getting pregnant, or do you mean that drugs in schools?
or do you just mean the schools that you could not even get running if you could not steal peoples money to educate about liberal ideals?

so which is it?
Oh come off it. I've worked in several districts, I'm far from socialist, and I've NEVER encountered socialist teaching either as a student or as a teacher. Drugs and pregnancy...it depends on the district. But you can't honestly say that all districts in America are like this, so quit your prejudice and get your facts straight.

I never understood why so many teachers were Democrats until I started working in the system, and then realized how much conservatives dispise the teaching profession. Would you like someone who told you day in and day out that your job was worthless and that you're an awful person who is anti-God and teaches marxism? I get that prejudice all the time and it's hard not to chew them out. At least in other countries the citizens care about education.

I'm all for homeschooling rights, by the way. Not everyone can do it well, but it generally works. This is because the parent, who has the child's best interest at heart, wants to give them a quality education so that they can be successful. I don't care whether it's public, private or homeschooling--if the child gets a good education out of it, then that's good. Public schools worked for me, but may not for everyone.

what if you come from a long line of blacksmiths. you want to teach your child to be the best blacksmith they can be. why shouldn't you be able to spend your days teaching your child a trade? I think the state should totally get out of parents business.

Yes but the child still has to pass the same testing that kids in school have to. They have the same material they have to learn. Homeschooling has skyrocketed over the past few years.

That's fine, teach your child to be a blacksmith, but they need to be able to read, write, and do basic math in addition to that. If your kid ends up not wanting to be a blacksmith, then they're kinda screwed if you don't.

I bet you homeschooling curriculum includes much more than reading, writing, and basic math. I bet you homeschooling includes some BS stuff.

WinterinAmerica's sentence is not a run on. There is only one main clause in that statement. I thought you'd want to know.
