Well, I believe that ALL THE MEN who have been Presidents prior to Obama have been WHITE MEN. So exactly which Black President, or White Woman President, or Black Woman President could have been responsible for the MESS which was left for Obama to clean up??
Now, don't you think that comment by you....."who blames everything on the white man who was in office previous"......unnecessarily brings in someone's racist attitudes, and not certainly NOT Obama's?
No, they're scared. Change is the only constant, yet some white males are
unwilling to see the country progress; they try to hold time back so as to
keep our country static.
To illustrate: "Change has a considerable psychological impact on the human mind. To the fearful it is threatening because it means that things may get worse. To the hopeful it is encouraging because things may get better. To the confident it is inspiring because the challenge exists to make things better." King Whitney, Jr.
They're afraid because, for the first time, enough women and minorities have made inroads into formerly "white male only" jobs to prove that they truly are just as competent. That equalization means that white men have serious competition for positions that have traditionally belonged only to them, and that offends the sense of entitlement that many white males have. It is no longer a white man's world, and that frightens them. The demographics in America are changing, and that frightens them. A sufficient number of Americans rejected the old construct of racism (white male job protection) to elect a bi-racial man, and that frightens them as well. It would be remiss to not mention that many white women are afraid as well, but the paradigm of white male superiority is all they've ever known; the unknown is unsettling.
In such times as these, it is good to consider this as well: "The universe is
change; our life is what our thoughts make it." Marcus Aurelius Antoninus
IMHO, it's either go with the flow or become superfluous.
Do you have any proof of all this or is it just a hunch?
