Just curious - seeing as how the hot issue now has to do with banks, mortgages and the bailout, if you were voting in the primaries tomorrow, would you vote to nominate a different candidate from your political party?

In other words, if this mess had happened when you voted in the primaries would you have considered someone different other than whoever you did vote for?

If I was republican, I'd probably be more interested in Romney or, as the previous poster said, Huckabee.

Me too! He really had a good solution for tax.

It is natural for the stock market to have a down turn. What needs to be changed is for the people who think the government is supposed to take care of them to start taking care of themselves and watching out for themselves. No sane person should get a loan and not know how much the payment will be until it is paid off. That is why I don't use credit cards to borrow past one month. When we bought our furniture, we went to the bank and got a loan. I knew exactly what the payment would be until it was paid off.

Romney would have been the best choice in these times, but that is water under the bridge so to speak.

I voted for Ron Paul. It's always been about the economy. The war, the freedoms, all of it. The economy, stupid.

I ended up really liking Ron Paul after the primaries. I voted for Romney, and would have still voted for him or Paul

My guy dropped out before our (late) primary, but I was for Fred Thompson. I will vote McCain of course, but not with enthusiasm.
