it is interesting that the posters on this thread are people who want to be liked. a president does not have to be liked, but has to be a leader. obama has no plan except to tax the wealthy, which is not workable in a faltering economy (there is less money to tax in a nutshell) and increase the size and scope of government. most americans are already tired of big government and now our democratic congress has given the treasury secretary the power to control the flow of money without any resistance. instead of worrying about popularity, maybe you need to be worrying about the issues that are going to take away your freedom to make decisions for yourself in the future.
Wouldn't now be the time to show the ability to gather bipartisan support to the Nation? One candidate seems to garner support from the center to the right and beyond while the other flounders and lacks endorsements from within his own party. Who's uniting the Nation?
He said that to distance himself from the people who have an 18% approval rating and to keep up the facade of being a "maverick" which he clearly is not.
If he has no friends though then why is he constantly saying "my friends"?
