he can do what he wants because hes a republican and he's white...... and he's running against a black/half black man for the first time in american history...so racism is gonna come into play, i bet we'll see the southern strategy used by him.
 • Pastor hagee-on african americans-“Hagee, pastor of the 16,000-member Cornerstone Church, last week had announced a ’slave sale’ to raise funds for high school seniors in his church bulletin, ‘The Cluster.’
Hagee, pastor of the 16,000-member Cornerstone Church, last week had announced a ’slave sale’ to raise funds for high school seniors in his church bulletin, ‘The Cluster.’

“The item was introduced with the sentence ‘Slavery in America is returning to Cornerstone” and ended with “Make plans to come and go home with a slave.
 • The Southern Baptist Convention finally made a tepid apology for its long history of racism in 1995, titled "Declaration of Repentance." This means that both Yeary and McCain were/are members and participants in the Southern Baptist denomination during its affirmation of racial oppression. Apparently, neither man voiced an objection to the organization's white supremacist views yesterday nor today.

 • Charles Keating was convicted of racketeering and fraud in both state and federal court after his Lincoln Savings & Loan collapsed, costing the taxpayers $3.4 billion. His convictions were overturned on technicalities; for example, the federal conviction was overturned because jurors had heard about his state conviction, and his state charges because Judge Lance Ito (yes, that judge) screwed up jury instructions. Neither court cleared him
 • Regan- was a racist. He actively supported apartheid and increased the suffering to millions of black South Africans. spoke about states rights which is the new word for jim crow/segregation
 • Trent Lott-What was racism in 2002 is a non-issue in 2006. NPR interviewed several senators — including Hagel and McCain — who said that Lott’s racist comments didn’t even come up in his whip nomination.
 • Rick Renzi (indicted),
 • Terry Nelson (racist ads against Harold Ford in 2006),
 • Trent Lott (pining for a Strom presidency),
 • The Wyly Brothers (corrupt),
 • Bob Perry (Chief Swift Boater),
 • Richard Quinn (white supremacist),
 • Rev. Richard Land (homosexual hate),
 • Ken Blackwell (Ohio election suppression),
 • Charlie Black (lobbyist and according to John Gorenfeld’s new book, Bad Moon Rising, Reverend Moon lover).
 1. Jesse helm-He suggested that the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. was a communist dupe and refused, even decades after King's death, to honor the Nobel Peace Prize winner.
 2. When Carol Moseley-Braun of Illinois became the first African-American woman to sit in the Senate, Helms followed Moseley-Braun into an elevator, announcing to Utah Senator Orrin Hatch: "Watch me make her cry. I'm going to make her cry. I'm going to sing 'Dixie' until she cries."
 1. Charlie Black-Republican strategist Charlie Black, perhaps the most prominent member of McCain's political inner circle (especially since he suggested that a terrorist attack on the U.S. would benefit the Republican's prospects this fall), advised Helms throughout much of the senator's career and played a particularly central role in the 1990 campaign, according to contemporary media accounts.
 2. Mel Watt suggested in a recent interview that we might still hear the faint strains of "Dixie.""Clearly, times changed, and people aren't going get away with those kind of racial appeals," said Watt, recalling the 1990 anti-Gantt campaign by Helms and his associates. "But they will make them more subtle, and call them something else. They'll call them economic appeals, like they did with the 'White Hands' adS

Hypocrisy-

Rev. Pat Robertson said America is damned by God because we allow feminists and ***** people to live hUre, that the 9/11 attack was because God lifted the "veil of protection" so the terrorists could attack.

McCain backer and the man he calls his "spiritual guide", Rev. Rod Parsley says that America was founded to take on Islamic religion.
McCain Welcomes The Support Of Bigot Pastor -Who Blames Katrina Deaths On The Sins Of GAYS.
McCain is raising money for George Wallace’s son Turns out he’s a close friend of the Council of Conservative Citizens. . Basically, the CCC is the Klan w/out the bedsheets. So, why would McCain endorse and raise funds for a racist?

John McCain kicked his “first wife” Carol to the streets after she had a near fatal car accident. He met Cindy lou during the collapse of his first marriage, divorced his invalid wife , and married Cindy lou only 1 month after his split from carole was final. who cares if our next President is an adulterer right thats whathot on the streets. Where was his integrity when he kicked his first wife to the curb after her incident?

Mccain on jesse senator racist helms Let us remember a life dedicated to serving the nation," McCain in a statement on the death of Helms

Here are the Senate Republicans’ comments from the NPR report:

Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX):
HOST: In that closed room, did anyone mention specifically the Strom Thurmond birthday party incident that led to–

CORNYN: It didn’t come up.

Sen. Olympia Snowe (R-ME):
We understand what happened. There’s no point going over. It’s in the past now, you know, and he has expressed, you know, his deep regret, as he should.

Sen. John McCain (R-AZ):
I think most people think he paid a pretty heavy price for the mistake that he made. We all believe in redemption, thank God.

Sen. Chuck Hagel (R-NE):
Everyone has an opportunity to rehabilitate themselves if they want to do it, and I admire Trent Lott for coming back and offering himself. The conference spoke, and we gooo forward

council of conservative citizens
U.S. Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott had also spoken at a CofCC meeting. In the ensuing controversy the CofCC was denounced by the Chairman of the Republican National Committee, Jim Nicholson, for holding "racist and nationalist views". Other national and state politicians who have given speeches or attended CofCC meetings include former Senator Jesse Helms, and former governors H. Guy Hunt of Alabama and Kirk Fordice of Mississippi. Former House Minority Leader Dick Gephardt also attended event of the organization's St. Louis predecessor the "Metro-South Citizens Council" shortly before the name change in the mid-1980s an event he has repeatedly referred to as a mistake

isnt it ironic that they always talk about forgiveness but yet havea hard time forgiving others, helms never apologized for his thoughts/views like george wallace but republicans gave him a farewell? a good one at that

 1. John grew up Episcopalian. He went to an Episcopalian high. For at least 15 years, he has been listed as an Episcopalian in authoritative such as the Almanac of American Politics and Congressional Quarterly's Politics in America 2008. He told a reporter from McClatchy News in June 2007 that he was an Episcopalian
 2. When put on thr hot seat, he said he's attended the N Phoenix Baptist Church in Az for more than 15 years, though he has never been baptized in that church. Now see, that's exactly the problem. Baptism is kind of a big thing in the Baptist Church.
 3. this is one very clear indication of how McCain has changed. Now, he's just another hungry politician, happy to pander if it helps him win. Which eliminates the very reason people were excited about him in 2000, his honesty?
 • You know why Chelsea Clinton's so ugly? Because her dad is Janet Reno.
In 95, McCain sent birthday regards, and regrets for not attending, to Joseph Bananas Bonano, the head of the New York Bonano crime family, who had retired n Az. Another politician to send regrets was Gov Fife Symington, who has since been kicked out of office and convicted of 7 felons relating to fraud/extortion.

 • Mccain Wont release his military records.......A man who hides his history, is not destined to be a leader that can be trusted
 • Kerry filled out form 180 to release his military service records, why can't McCain? If he's a hero, what has he got to hide?

1983: McCain Votes Against Federal MLK Day. In 1983 McCain voted against establishing a federal holiday in honor of Dr. Martina Luther King. "Most Republicans in the House voted for the holiday (89 voted for the holiday, 77 opposed), though all three Arizona House Republicans were opposed. Reps. Dick Cheney, R-Wyoming, and Newt Gingrich, R-Georgia, voted for the holiday.Cheney had voted against it in 1978

1987: McCain Opposes Arizona MLK Holiday. In Arizona, Democratic governor Bruce Babbitt issued an executive order to establish an MLK holiday. Yet "in January 1987, the first act of Arizona's new governor, Republican Evan Mecham, was to rescind the executive order by his predecessor to create an MLK holiday. Arizona's stance became a national controversy. McCain backed the decision at the time."

1989: McCain Still Opposes Federal Holiday. Even though he now supported establishing a state holiday for Martin Luther King, he said he "said he was 'still opposed to another federal holiday.'"

The Raw Story | Begala: McCain sat on board of racist group
"The Anti-Defamation League, in 1981 when McCain was on the board, said this about this organization. It was affiliated with the World Anti-Communist League, the parent organization which ADL said had increasingly become a gathering place, a forum, a point of contact for extremists, racist and anti-Semites."

This video is from NBC's Meet the Press, broadcast October 5, 2008.

This will play well with the Jewish vote

Somehow a 27 year old piece of BS won't trump current idea of flip flopping on Jerusalem that obama has done.
