"Sa-Rah! Sa-Rah!" they chanted at every mention of her name, applauding loudly and waiving tiny American flags that were distributed -- along with free water bottles -- by local volunteers. The fire chief estimated the crowd at 60,000.
Palinmania!
Mac; your choice was brilliant to get the base behind you.

Yes you have finally said something I agree with, but the problem is that you are being used as pawn. This is chess not checkers where I one up you each move. She was brought on board to get the white female vote out since they are the largest group in the country. This was done without reguard to how well she is prepared to be VP or Pres if something happens to McCain. Think it through
yep, shows Florida has 60,000 residents who are happy to have the carrot on a string dangled in front of their face. Plain was chosen because she's a woman, and there is a portion of the population who only care about things that trivial. Anyone who disagrees tell me why he picked her over other governors.

Why is she so different than John Edwards, the one-term Senator with no FP/NS experience?
Since when did the VP candidate have to have every single credential the Presidential candidate has?
McCain has the FP/NS creds, she brings what every VP should bring to the table - a state or a segment of the population. She is Mother of ALL Ven diagrams - State, conservatives, women.
Brilliant.

I dont care if she is not prepared to be lead poodle groomer, if it keeps the Obama's out of the white house and away from the supreme court, it was the right move! Fact of the matter is she has better judgement than Obama does and would do just fine if she had to take over!

See above.
Obama didn't pick John Edwards. We're talking this election. When a man who (as far as I've heard,) has a (actuarially speaking) one in three chance of (god forbid) not surviving his first term, we need a VP who can take over the job as well as he would. Fact is, she wouldn't! It literally frightens me to think she could be the leader of the free world. I'll live if McCain wins happy or not, but if she ever leads the country, I... I'm not quite sure what I'll do.
