Palin: E-mails explain 'Troopergate' firing - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080915/ap_on_el_pr/palin_troopergate_1 - broken link)

Good move. Just no way this investigation, headed by a partisan democrat hack who already has said there will be an October surprise, should go forward. The case technically belongs with the Alaskan Office of Personnel, which has opened it's own investigation.

Troopergate will be a non-issue.

In a papers filed Monday, the lawyers wrote that Monegan was fired for opposing Palin's budget priorities. They cited e-mails in which top Palin staffers expressed concern with his approach.

They also cited an e-mail Monegan sent his colleagues encouraging them to communicate better with Palin

I guess the fact that 10 of the 15 people on the investigation panel are republicans means nothing to you?

So the Repubs are out to get her too?

No. Sanrene will spin it saying that the newspaper is a liberal hate rag and that the emails (the ones that aren't incriminating) are the only ones that count.

Does look good though doesn't it?

Okay, forget those emails - whether she released them all or not. What I want to know is why her husband is CC'd on them and why he was authoring emails about government business. We all used to joke that Hillary really ran things but never was there proof that she was in on the big decisions.

That bugs the tarnation out of me and I've seen it mentioned in other things too like how he would call people up, angry or upset over something that had happened in the administration. There is talk over how he helped her go over budgets and god only knows what else. (I've forgotten other parts mentioned.)

Let me make myself clear, this is not normal political behavior at the governor and higher level. It is not. Why is he so involved? And since he is so involved that then kills the argument of oh her hubby was in the AIP not her.

I have wondered the same thing. Why would her husband be involved AT ALL in government business?

Truthiness alert.

Today Palin refused to speak to the committee (Majority Republican) about this.

The troopergate story means nothing at all. Who cares about that anyway right? Maybe some scared libs. Why would they attack if they arent in danger?
