The calls for Palin to sit down for face to face interviews with the press are building. The leftwing meme is the McCain campaign is terrified she will fall flat on her face giving credence to the claims she's not ready for prime time without a teleprompter and and a friendly audience. And in my opinion this is what the McCain camp is counting on. They are going to let the press work itself in to a lather to the point where her first televised interview will garner huge ratings. And then when she doesn't wilt but shows that she is indeed a legitimate choice, not some lightweight Caribou Barbi as Obama supporters like to refer to her, the coup de grace will have been delivered. She's already knocked the Obama campaign off message and back on their heels. It is entirely possible she'll single handedly end the Obama campaign.
