NEWSFLASH:

VP choices don't matter unless they turn out to be serial killers or if it's discovered they were committed to a mental instiution undergoing electroshock therapy. Or if they have the potential to deliver a huge state with lots of electoral votes to a candidate who would have otherwise lost the state.

People vote for the top of the ticket, and not the bottom.

Oh lets see the republicans have a message of change now....oh lets see its the news a woman running mate making history and thats the answer to America's economic woes and foreign affairs, Iraq and the war on terror. A woman making history will produce thousands of new jobs for Americans, save social security, provide afordable healthcare for all and get us out of Iraq. It amazing how people got side tracked by McCain's side show.

Unfortunately for him and his lost shot at the Presidency, McCain doesn't understand that concept. He chose Palin as a token female in order to get disaffected Hillary supporters to vote for him SIMPLY BECAUSE "the bottom" of his ticket is a female and most of those disenfranchised Hillary supporters are women who want to see a woman, ANY woman, in the White House.

I’m sure that had McCain chosen Hillary Clinton as his running mate this forum would be in overdrive but that wouldn’t make the decision any wiser.

Linda Bergthold: The VP Choice that Lost the Presidency for McCain
One would expect that kind of stuff from the huffingtonpost.com so that sure doesn't make it truthful or factual now does it? Not that liberals ever let facts get in their way

Rasmussen Reportsâ„¢: The most comprehensive public opinion coverage ever provided for a presidential election. (http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/daily_presidential_tracking_poll - broken link)

There have been significant changes in perception of John McCain in the two days of polling since he named Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate. Since then, 49% of Republicans voice a Very Favorable opinion of McCain. That’s up six percentage points from 43% just before the announcement. Also, 64% of unaffiliated voters now give positive reviews to McCain, up ten points since naming his running mate.
If it was such a terrible choice shouldn't all the liberals be dancing in the streets right now in joyousness and high fivin' each other? Nope, they are all sitting around their computers wondering what in the hell is their empty suit gonna do about this whole mess he has gotten himself into. Notice that the conservatives aren't whining and cryin' about Biden? Let's see, Hillary gets 18 million votes and Biden gets squat so the O dude picks the loser. Excellent pick Obama!
