1) McCain does not have a majority of the delegates

2) President's Lincoln, Garfield, Hayes and Harding were ALL long shots, dark horses with "no chance of winning" the Republican Nomination.

3) They had either no delegates or few delegates and not only went on to win the nomination but also won the election.

I think you mean McBush. McCain quit politics a while back after he sold his soul to the devil (aka Republican Party) abandoning all the positions he once held.

Lincoln, Garfield, Hayes and Harding were all nominees before the advent of modern communication. A longshot couldn't win today because of "transparency" and media scrutiny. The delegates to the conventions are often locked in to the candidate that was voted for in the area they represent. That was why there was so much talk of a "brokered convention" when Hillary was still running against Obama. A "brokered convention" recalls the days when candidates were selected by the party's leadership behind closed doors, where power was brokered and bartered and the delegates were simply along for the ride.

Really? I didn't know that. You must be a seer, huh? And I've never heard of this character, "McBush." Can you enlighten me, o wise one?

Who then ... Romney?? Wouldn't that be a freaking hoot? Hillary and Romney come out of the conventions with nominations? The entire country will be in "homina homina homina" mode.
