ksl.com - Obama promises hoops in White House
Just because he can't bowl does not mean he needs to tear it out in the White House and put in a basketball court. Besides that, when does he plan on having alot of time to play basketball? Presidents have busy schedules and every minute of the day is planned and I would assume that the small amount of free time he has would be spent with his family. What a waste of money. Thoughts?

Nothing else to complain about? Billions are being wasted and literally "lost" in Iraq, yet you whine about the amount of money spent on a potential building of a basketball court. Priorities straight?

It was a freaking joke. Did you read the article?

"I hear there's a bowling alley and obviously that hasn't gone too well," Obama told comic Jimmy Kimmel in a satellite interview from Philadelphia on Sunday. "So we're getting rid of the bowling alley and replacing it with a basketball court in the White House."

Obama was referring to his disastrous attempt at bowling a few weeks before Pennsylvania's Democratic primary in April. The party's presumptive nominee for president is much more at ease on the basketball court.

The OP is talking about basketball and bowling, and your still on that Iraq issue. Must be difficult for you to think about anything else.

Yeah, lets try to think about what's really important in this election, basketball and bowling. Why bring up any real issues.

I can understand why Iraq is a sore spot with certain segments of the population i.e. the gullible, those that Bush made fools of. Anyway, the OP also refers to a "waste of money" nothing fits that description better than Iraq.

Iraq is in no way shape or form a "sore" spot, you dont stop living because there is a war going on, you dont stop having a sense of humor (which Obama showed he has) due to it, you dont stop building roads, educating our children, and you surely dont make it the focus of your life. Those that do, have issues and need to see a doctor.
