Honestly, I feel sorry for both ladies because every move they make is being over-scrutinized by the public eye, but I guess that's the price you pay when you marry an ambitious man.

Interesting read.

"We're certainly going to jump on this when we have a client in a similar position," he says. "When we have a client that's charged in this same kind of 'script' writing, if the behavior is milder than Cindy McCain's, we should be getting diversion."
State courts would have offered a much greater challenge for Dowd and his client.
"If she were charged in state court--and there is an offense that fits her case to a T--she's looking at Class 3 felonies," says one defense attorney. "If we assume conservatively that there were six separate counts, her liability in state court is astronomical. She could have been looking at ten to 20 years, with a presumptive sentence of 11.25 years and two-thirds served before she would be eligible for parole.
"If I had a client named José Lopez, I'm not so sure we wouldn't be looking at that."

snopes.com: Cindy McCain

I'd rather have Cindy be the first lady than "kill whitey/first timer" Michelle Obama.

Typical left-wing nut strategy of painting their white guilt on everyone.

Why is Michelle Obama being so vilified anyway? I don't get it. I do find her to be abrasive and she's not exactly camera-friendly, but what has she done that is so reprehensible? Of course there was the "I was never proud of my country until now" statement that was certainly a poor choice of words. But maybe she was trying to say that the direction that our country has been going in has been disheartening, but with the renewed interest in politics and people looking for something different this election, she feels a sense of pride and hope that she hadn't before. To a large extent i can relate to that. Anyway, I've read her thesis, I've tried to find out about the "Whitey" thing and even if I was trying to portray her as a racist, I can't. So what is she being condemned for?

It's kind of dumb to compare Cindy McCain to Michelle Obama so I won't except to say that some things that Cindy has done are CLEARLY reprehensible without any room for interpretation. If any of us did what Cindy McCain did, we would most likely still be in jail.

What is this?

A rehash of Knots Landing or an episode of Desperate Wives?

We're stuck in a never-ending war in Iraq, the national debt went through the roof, the housing industry is in the toilet, financial institutions are in precarious situations, gas prices are fueling inflation, people are tapped out, we have no control over illegal immigration, and we are paying attention to the wives?
