Rasmussen Reportsâ„¢: The most comprehensive public opinion coverage ever provided for a presidential election. (http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/daily_presidential_tracking_poll - broken link)

Quote:
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Saturday shows John McCain earning 45% of the vote while Barack Obama attracts 44%. This is the eight straight day that the candidates have been within a single point of each other. It’s also the first time in nearly two weeks that McCain has had even a statistically insignificant advantage over Obama
Quote:
Overall, McCain is viewed favorably by 50% of voters nationwide, Obama by 48%. That’s the second straight day Obama’s favorable rating has been below 50%

Though I am supporting McCain in all fairness the negative hammering of Obama ove the past couple of months has had some impact, while McCain has been out of the limelight.

Once both are under scrutiny, this might change, either way.

As an Independent I think I might be able to shed some light on this. I have over the last couple of weeks been looking at Obama and McCain. The more I look at McCain, the more I like him. I heard a little while ago on CBS Nightly news that McCain is going to release his medical records next week. I like that. They also said that he was going to be on SNL tonight. Although I don't normally watch it, I plan to tonight. I also like the fact that a couple of weeks ago he went to a small predominantly Black town in AL that had never been visited by a Presidential candidate before. He said that although he had no expectation that they would vote for him in November, that he wanted to show that he would be the President for all the people. He was shown dancing with some little old black ladies in Gee's Bend AL and they all seemed to be having a good time. I also like the fact that he has a son serving in Iraq and another son who was there before.
The more I look at Obama, the more doubts I have. My main concern is his lack of experience - militarily or economically. I think he may be 4 or 8 years too early in this run for the Presidency. I also am having problems getting past his 20+ years attendance and close friendship with the Rev. Wright. And although I have heard the talking heads on TV saying that this will be a non-issue by November, I don't think it will be for me.

It is a fact, McCain is the ONE candidate who has consistently crossed the aisle to get things done, much to the dismay of some conservatives.

Obama likes to claim he would be a uniter, but his record does not reflect that claim.

Most informed people know that Obama wont protect us.

Know that he wants to buddy up with all the people who do not like America.

Know that Obama has no experiece of running anything.

Know that he has so many skeletons in his closet that we know there is more coming out.

Know that Obama and his wife hate whites and are racist bigots.

Know that he will toss you under the bus if you do not go for what he stand for or back him up.

Know that he will appoint other racist pigs to his cabinet.

Know that he is all blow and no go.

Know that he has very poor judgement skills and surround himself around racist people and criminals.

Know that deep down he doesnt like America himself.

I could go on forever.

McCain is an American hero, has all the skills and experience to protect us. I do not agree with him on a few issues but now he first and foremost is the better choice for this election and this time in our world.

Know that Obama will only cause us harm with his sinceless thoughts.

My dh did not like Obama's reaction to what President Bush said. He agrees with Bush on this particular issue. I did not vote for Bush. You should not aid those who are trying to destroy your country. I think we all know who is telling the truth. I have caught Obama in many half truths. A half truth is a lie. He needs to stop twisting things and get real. There is a real enemy out there. Do you think McCain is not going to try to get the war won. He was in Viet Nam and a POW camp. He knows how important it is to finish this right. The only thing Obama knows how to do is complain about other people. Is he going to spend four years in the White House telling us how much better he is than everybody else. He needs to get a creative thought or keep his mouth shut.

I personally did not know enough about this situation to form an opinion. When my husband saw the news about Obama disagreeing with the president, he had a few prize words to say. It made him angry. Obama needs to start being loyal to our country is basically what he said.

It's only May. The polls will flip flop like a politician for the next four or five months. If a clear cut favorite even emerges, it won't be until September or October.

Please use the link below to access the Rasmussen home page and interpret the data yourself and form your own learned opinions. there are surveys that are not just national but individual states. They will help you to use and cite accurately statements and projections you might want to make to support your candidate. You can also use the link to verify for yourself the claims we often make on the campaign. Good reading and use your own gray matter.

I like Rasmussen's polling. They were pretty accurate down the stretch in the 04 Presidential race and in the 06 Congressional races.

Now I will take a chance at this. I believe Obama has a good chance to win the Pacific North West. Think I am crazy? What a lunatic I am? Well to help corroborate this perspective I will provide the following link:
Rasmussen Reportsâ„¢: The most comprehensive public opinion coverage ever provided for a presidential election. (http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/washington/election_2008_washington_presidential_election - broken link)

There now if you want to disagree you will be challenging not me as much but the data from what many here consider to be reliable and news worthy. Just like in college, go for it and lets see some good debates and some good use of already collected data. Make your old professors proud.

Now here is another one. I believe that the public trusts our Republican party on the key issues more then the Democrats. Obama is not trustworthy and is incapable of leading us to get done what we need to get done. In other words he can't "GET ER DONE".

However a learned person who does not accept that premise wishes to challenge me. To support that challenge they use the Rasmussen Report and provide the following:

Rasmussen Reportsâ„¢: The most comprehensive public opinion coverage ever provided for a presidential election. (http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/mood_of_america/trust_on_issues/trust_on_issues - broken link)

There now the ball rests in my court and they have used the score board to their advantage.

Happy data usage and have a jolly night.
