The Canadian Press: McCain staff member suspended over video linking Obama to pastor (broken link)

The staffer was a low-level aide named Soren Dayton. He sent out a link to a YouTube video that focuses on the comments of Obama's spiritual mentor, Reverend Jeremiah Wright.
A McCain campaign spokesman says it's not "the type of campaign we intend to run."

The real question is don't the media agencies ever check youtube? You can search anything there.

Who cares why it came out, it should never has been said. If people are not so stupid they won't have to deal with these things.

The same is for people involved in sex tapes. Ohh they are so shocked, like they weren't there when they were made....

I call him an idiot because what he did had nothing to do with officially advancing McCain's campaign. He did it on his personal web site and he should have known better. He should have known that someone would find it and that it would have caused a controversy. There is such passion in the ranks of all campaign workers and that is commendable. When one goes out of his way to express his personal viewpoints that may hurt the very campaign he is working for...well I think he's an idiot for doing so.
