There's less here than meets the eye. So Rezko expected something -- that's what all donees think. Obama has not even been charged with any wrongdoing and Rezko is not satan.
Rezko is not charged with anything in regard to Obama. Nice try but Rezko's trial is not a presidential campaign issue.

You may not think so, and you may be right, but it will become a campaign issue ... does anyone think that the smear tactics of political campaigns are going to end now??
it's the air slowly leaking out of the Obama campaign balloon .. coming down to earth!
LOL! This is the first thread I read on here and had to come and say great reply and people really need to pay close attention to this Rezko deal. All that Reverend Wright stuff was a smokescreen to overshadow the REAL issue. Obama/Rezko.
This is gonna hurt him. I sense it is the beginning of the end for him.
You might want to quote the original source of the story, his 90 minute interview with the conservative Chicago Tribune editorial board, where he agreed to answer any and all questions on the matter.
This was their conclusion...
Quote:
We concluded that the professional judgment and personal decency with which he has managed himself and his ambition distinguish him.
Nothing Obama said in our editorial board room Friday diminishes that verdict.
Two sentences don't do this justice, however. Those of you interested in more than partisan circle jerks ought to read the entire editorial, and perhaps read the transcript of the interview itself.
In the end, you have a piece of land bought at market value from a person with criminal problems that haven't an iota of connection to Obama himself. There is no evidence of any 'payback' from Obama to Rezko in the two years since this story was originally reported.
Only lots of whispers of guilt by association from supporters of a candidate associated with dozens of convicts herself in the Whitewater scandal.
Did this remind anybody else of the Sopranos HUD scam in season 4?
Everybody came out of that smelling like a rose, but it didn't mean they weren't all involved and all crooked as sin. Oh yeah it's just a TV show it couldn't represent REAL life. Noooo.

Gotcha. So in the two years since this has been reported, we have no evidence of any wrongdoing. No evidence of any payback. Obama bought land at market price without offering anything additional in return besides buying land at market price.
If that were a Soprano's plot, I would've given up the show.
