It does not make a single bit of difference if this racist pastor said it yesterday or 20 years ago, he said what he said and he is a racist pig who should be ashamed of himself.
Obama will be done if he does not come out and go after this man, which I do not see him doing. He will give alot of talk but it will not mean anything.
Obama was sitting in that church during one of these speeches of hate and did nothing then and wont do anything but talk his way out of this one.
At least Clinton didnt say that she goes to Ferroro for guidance and has been a mentor of hers for 20 years like Obama has said of this racist man of hate.
There is a large difference in the two comments. This pastor is and was preaching hate purposely and making comments that are simply not true at all.
Several of you, who claim his response isn't good enough, have been against Obama from the start. He could turn water into wine and it wouldn't please you. Therefore your cries of righteous indignation ring hollow.
yes and some who claim his response 'is' good enough, have been 'for' obama from the start.he could be caught on film standing next to rev. wright cheering with clenched fist raised wearing a quaddafi t shirt while he was making one of his anti-american,racist diatribes and it wouldnt sway you.therefore your cries of protest ring hollow.
You have to be realistic. This is definitely going to cost him votes. Now he's going to have to focus his time on reassuring America that he's not the scary Black candidate. I won't say he's down for the count yet. That's the good thing about this coming out now. Had this came out in the general election, it would have been much worse.

You don't think this will come out in the general? What about the independent groups on the right?
Foxnews just had Obama on. He denied ever being in the church when any of these racist, inflammatory statements were made.
How much do you want to bet that people are scouring hours and hours and hours of these tapes looking for Obama and Wifey in the church during one of these hate-america sermons.
Why wouldn't the Democratic party have researched their candidate a little better? Did they think that this wouldn't be noticed?
Also, with all of the reporters at CNN, and MSNBC, why did it take Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Hannity, et al to uncover this information? I thought I heard that these tapes were being sold by the church itself. You would think that an investigative political reporter would have done a very basic examination of a candidate for the highest position in the free world.
It's about time we started examining who this guy really is. He has largely been given a pass on what he really believes in and stands for. No one attends a church or any other organization for 20 years and hears the hate speech this pastor spews and doesn't walk away immediately not wanting to subject himself and his young impressionable family to such racism; no matter if black or white.
A good start but not good nuff. Obama needs to state that "neither me nor my family agree with Rev Wright and we will no longer be attending services there until he retires nor will he have any association with my campaign going forward"
That is what I want to hear.
Just saw a piece of Obama's interview on CNN re: Rev. Wright. Why is his head bent to the right so much? I don't recall ever seeing Sen. Obama with that head position before. Did he get injured?

Wright leaves Obama campaign
Spokesman Tommy Vietor emails:
"Rev. Wright is no longer serving on the African American Religious Leadership Committee."
That cuts Wright's only formal tie to Obama, and answers what was sure to be a question in Obama's interviews tonight: If Geraldine Ferraro had to leave the Clinton campaign, why is Wright different.
Obama has made himself clear if you watched Countdown or Anderson Cooper tonight, if that's not good enough for you, so be it. BTW, Rev. Wright is now retired, he is no longer pastor of Obama's church.
