That's what has to be decided. Was Cruz lying or was he telling the truth on the question ? Do donors control the politician they contribute to ?

Trump said that those donors end up having "total control of the politician," adding that "I don't want anyone to control me but the people right out there."

Cruz the Texas senator responded: "Absolutely."

How can we expect them to represent the people who elect them when they need to do as the donors ask when funding them, buying the control ?

I wouldn't say total. I'd say they have an open door for expressing their desires. There are good politicians who will do the right thing whether in the donors best interest or not. It might be a case where the politicians might only accept financial support from groups who he intended on acting for anyway, ie pro-union liberals.

If Cruz said it the chances it was a lie would be 99.9%. All you have to do is watch donors and legislation to see it in action.

So, he has a major interest in climate change as a hoax and removing regulations on the oil and gas industry:

He is a self-serving little, nothing good. He is definitely a "you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours person" but anyone that trusts him is a bigger fool than he is.

That is an interesting spin.

Cruz is a lawyer. He is a wordsmith !!! Rubio said words matter !!!

Absolutely:
1) without exception; completely; wholly; entirely:
You are absolutely right.
2.) positively; certainly.

Cruz could have said something different and explained it but he didn't put any spin on it.

As the Great Mel Tillis once said:

It's irrelevant.......it's unimportant.....the important question is whether or not they control you.

I didn't send Ted to Washington to make friends.
Like Ron Paul, Lobbyists no longer knock on his door.
