What you said was 100% but you are correct that these numbers can not be sustained under a policy of public funding for continued education.

As I said earlier, there would have to be gives and takes on both sides of the equation and that is unlikely to happen.

Unions need to be addressed, not just large corporations.
So you use as an example the best of the best, internationally -renowned scientists? This is not a public union teacher, and I'm sure you would agree that he has earned every penny. He is the pinnacle of Republican success, the best and the brightest. So you read some rabid right wing article and don't even bother to check facts, then spout generalizations based upon somebody else's opinions?
Pathetic.
Here's your 'excessive pension" example....https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joaquin_Fuster

Oregon Public Employees Retirement System :: Your Government - The Oregonian

Names, dates, tier, calculation method, final salary, and percentage.

According to the state, 5.6% of retirees in 2013 are collecting in excess of 100% of their final salary. That's actually a huge improvement. In 2002, 17.4% were getting more than 100% of their final salary.

The whole thing is obscene.

To take the position that our big problems are big problems because of partisan actions won't solve a thing. They don't become big problems without bipartisan actions.

Just in case you are unable to follow the link FOR WHATEVER REASON:
Dave Frohnmayer (July 9, 1940 – March 10, 2015) was an American attorney, politician, and university administrator from Oregon. He was the 15th president of the University of Oregon (UO), serving from 1994 to 2009. His tenure as president was the second-longest after John Wesley Johnson. He was the first native Oregonian to run the UO. Frohnmayer previously served as Oregon Attorney General from 1981 to 1991, and subsequently served as dean at the University of Oregon School of Law before serving as president of the university. He served in an "of counsel" attorney role with the Oregon law firm, Harrang Long Gary Rudnick P.C.
