They were stupid to begin with for being in these two states. [MOD CUT/language] talk about wasted effort and money. They could've given me $10M months ago to tell them that these two states are SOLID for President Obama.

Every election we go through this charade of PA being a swing state. It's not, and hasn't been in at least 2 decades.

Perhaps the failures of Michigan lie in the political sentiments of the state and is destined to be on the fast track to third world status due to liberal policy. Witness the shining star of liberalism- Detroit.
Read a recent GM earnings report or monthly sales report, compare it to where they were in 2008-2009, and rethink your statement that it "didn't seem to work."

You clearly don't follow the auto industry.

Well now it's Detroit turn to bankrupt Romney.

Long live the Motor City.
You seriously aren't educated on the topic enough to realize that Obama DID take Detroit (GM and Chrysler) through bankruptcy?

Ummm....

Bush-Obama have given GM a total of over $100 Billion including future $$$ like exemptions from taxes. GM is worth $34 Billion. What Romney wanted was the normal legal bankruptcy proceedings to change why GM went bankrupt. Obama took them through bankruptcy, but avoided laws to give more to unions while taking away from non-unions.

They didn't choose a government-sponsored bankruptcy because it was easy, they went to the government because there was no other option. You are talking about the depths of the recession; capital was sitting on the sidelines and nobody knew where the bottom was. GM and Chrysler were damaged companies with enormous liabilities and nobody was willing take a bet on them. They would have been broken up, sold off in parts (likely to foreign entities), and the American auto industry would have never held the same significance again. You are talking about large global corporations that have historically provided a significant amount R&D not only for the automotive industry, but for other American industries as well.

Do you think Alan Mulally of Ford Motor Company went to Washington to stand alongside his competitors for the fun of it? He went there because he understood the gravity of the situation; that GM and Chrysler going under would have had a significant impact not only on Ford, but on every supplier, dealership, and small business that relies on the auto industry. I will trust the judgment of someone who walks the halls of the industry every day long before I trust the scorn of someone with a political axe to grind.

Interesting. Minneapolis, Seattle, and Portland are all liberal cities and none of them look like that.

Houston, Memphis, and Atlanta, on the other hand...

Oh OMG here is another one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One supporter, Teri Palen, 56, of nearby Northville, Mich., said she felt Mr. Romney would offer "positive change" and said the election of Republican Rick Snyder as governor in 2010 and the economic improvement in the state has convinced her Michigan would support the Romney-Ryan ticket.
Romney dredges up

WHOA KID ROCK ENDORSES ROMNEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you have any idea how much influence he has in Michigan..........

1. Polls are not reliable.

2. Those numbers are over two weeks ago.

3. If Romney is indeed leading in MI and his superPac pulls out, that's just stupid.
