2. As the Right is so fond of reminding us, the NYTimes is a "lib-rul rag".... except for whenever they print something that wingnuts wanna use as "proof".
What Libs fail to grasp is that the NYT is a biased partisan hack of a newspaper. So when it prints something against it's own bias, it makes it even more important.

The good news for Mr. Romney is the forms suggest that he paid at least some federal income tax every year, as he has said he did.
1. The NYT is a liberal-socialist rag.
2. Liberal-socialist rags always lie.
3. Therefore, the statement above is a lie and we can conclude that Romney is a tax-evading crook.
That doesn't prove anything. In 2009, there was a tax amnesty program that allowed taxpayers who cheated on their taxes by using foreign means to hide their taxes, could come clean and only pay the tax (instead of going to jail.)
It's been suggested that Romney used the amnesty program and, if he did, the NYT article would have shown that he paid taxes.
However, disclosing his 2009 taxes would also show that he was a previous tax cheat -- and that's the reason he refuses to disclose his taxes.
They are ignoring this issue as it would sink Romney like lead. My money is on this being the reason that the Romneys are so questionably defiant about releasing those tell all tax returns. This is no small thing and they'd rather deal with the taunting than the shame and ridicule that the truth will reveal.
