With the selection of Ryan as VP the direction the two parties is now set, we know what Romney/Ryan are going to do and we know what Obama/Biden are going to do,The next couple of months is going to be non stop mud slinging from both sides which seems like a total waste of time and money as i cant believe anything in these negative ads is going to change some ones mind on who they will vote for in November.
If there are some undecideds out there what are you hoping to hear to make your mind up one way or the other?

The only thing that I'm pretty certain on is that I won't vote for Obama or Romney. I'd most likely vote for Gary Johnson unless something with Obama or Romney changes DRASTICALLY.
I still havent made up my mind. Nothing in particular I suppose right now....just waiting to see what info Romney and Obama puts out during the next few months. Probably will not make up mind til very close to election day.
Judging by the lack of responses i`d say with the exception of Dan I guess every one has made up their mind, so how many millions are they going to spend on these campaign ads between now and November? and whats the point? as i`m sure this money could be put to better use..
I'm undecided. It's going to be a lesser-of-two-evils kind of thing for me.
I am asking myself which is worse:
1. An Obama second term, where he gets t least one, and possibly two SCOTUS picks, which will move the US even further toward European-style state-secularism and an increasingly amoral public life
OR
2. Yet another learn-as-you-go Presidency with the bland Romney, who appear to lack the courage to talk about his core beliefs on governance, causing one to doubt whether he has any.
Of course, the incompetent county election office in my home state will probably screw up and forget to send me my absentee ballot again, in which case it's all academic...

There are plenty of undecided voters. Look at what the polls are saying. There is actually a fairly large number of undecided voters.
Even on this forum, there are more than just Dan (and Yeledaf, who posted in this thread subsequent to your post). And people on this forum are far more politically aware than the average American. A lot of people who will vote are not really paying much attention at all right now.
The two issues that really matter to me are taxation and health care and neither candidate is all that convincing on either subject.
Obama is trailing on taxation but Romney needs to come up with something a whole lot more imaginative and coherent than he has so far.
Romney is trailing on health care. I don't like Obamacare but just getting rid of it isn't a solution either. Ryan's ideas for Medicare are interesting but need 1) to get fleshed out with a lot more substance and 2) extended to the rest of the healthcare industry.
In terms of personality, Romney looks like he has a length of two by four stuck up his rear end and his wife is pulling strings to make his mouth move. Obama beats him easily in that department.
I was talking to an acquaintance of an acquaintance, who thought about having lunch with someone she almost knew. Well, she said, he said, that his 3rd cousin, had definitely made up his mind; and would vote for the encumbent, because he is so likeable.
