A Christopher Newport University poll of likely Virginia Republican primary voters finds that Mitt Romney is leading Ron Paul by a wide margin, presenting the possibility that Romney could win all of the 46 delegates up for grabs.

The former Massachusetts governor was the choice of 53 percent of poll respondents, while the libertarian-minded Texas congressman was supported by 23 percent.

Romney and Paul will be the only two candidates appearing on the state’s March 6 Super Tuesday ballot, after other candidates failed to meet signature requirements.

i would be shocked if he didn't win VA. I think one reason Perry dropped out was his not being on the ballot there. With all his poor showing (Perry's) and not even on the ballot in VA he knew he was dead in the water.

Is Virginia Romney's "home state" too? What does he think about the trees' heights there?

It's easy to win an election when all your main rivals are kept off the ballot. Just look at the Middle East.

In the Middle East, there are no rivals. So the Middle East is much more analogous to the Democrat Party.

I wouldn't be surprised if Barry's swooning admirers plastered his ugly mug on posters like they do in the Middle East too.

I agree. This year's GOP-run fiasco--with missing ballots, winners being declared then the results being reversed, incompetent GOP election officials, and a campaign that is revolving largely around social and religious issues--reminds me of an election in a third world country.

As much as I happen to feel everyone who can afford the fees to get themselves on the ballot and are legal to run should have their names appear, in all fairness, there were rules to follow and some of the candidates did not follow them. This has nothing to do with any fiasco.

That's funny I don't recall any state in 2008 where only Clinton, or only Obama appeared on a ballot save for Michigan where Obama intentionally declined to participate in the contest.

You do understand the difference between running uncontested, and running with very serious challengers who you don't allow on the ballots of several states, right?

Or maybe not since you are bragging about how Romney is going to win a contest where neither Gingrich, nor Santorum are on the ballot.
