It's very interesting that 15% of the people polled would vote for "someone else." Some of these are probably Republicans who are right now supporting "anyone but Romney or Paul" and most of these people would probably come around and vote for Romney (this is why I think this poll is a good sign for Romney).
However, I wonder how many are Ron Paul supporters?
That poll should scare Obama to death. Basically the same percentage of people would vote for Romney who is not even the nominee as him. That is not good for a sitting president.

Why? It is just one poll and he can always find one much more to his liking, for example this one:
"President Obama leads both Republican presidential front-runners in a new poll released on Friday.
Obama leads Mitt Romney 49 percent to 43 , and Newt Gingrich 55 percent to 37, in the new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll."
I think the 15% 'other' is the really interesting number. It tells me there is a rapidly growing segment of the population that has come to the conclusion that Dem or Rep is nothing but theater for the masses, and there is very little difference between them.
If Ron Paul goes independent he could pull enough from BOTH parties to make it interesting.
