In Iowa only one candidate is not being beaten by Obama
NBC News/Marist Poll: Sunday, December 4, 2011
Obama Ties Paul…Leads Rest of GOP Field, But Only Has Majority against Bachmann In hypothetical contests with potential Republican challengers, President Barack Obama bests his competition with one exception.
Against Paul, 42% of registered voters in Iowa support Obama while the same proportion -- 42% -- backs Paul.
Here's the way many will vote for president in 2012:
if (primary)
register Republican
vote for Ron Paul
if (main election & Ron Paul is Republican nominee)
vote for Ron Paul for President
else if (main election & Ron Paul is third party candidate)
vote for Ron Paul anyways
else if (main election)
vote for Republican nominee
That is pretty much my plan. Except if Ron Paul, Huntsman or Gary Johnson is not the GOP nominee, I will vote for Obama. There is no possible way that I am going to vote for a sleazeball like Gingrich or Romney and the rest of the GOP theocrat candidates make me want to puke.
Wow, I didn't know Clinton and Carter were statisticians.
They're not. Pat Caddell and Doug Schoen are. I'll give you one more shot at it, but this time read first, then comment.
Quote:
Pat Caddell and Doug Schoen, pollsters for Presidents Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton, say that Rasmussen Reports has “an unchallenged record for both integrity and accuracy.”
Presidential Election 2012: Generic Republican 49%, Obama 41%
I think these numbers still would depend on the Republican candidate. Example, its clear that Santorum and Bachmann would lose in a general match up.
