Despite problems with the economy, Obama will still win re-election because of weak candidates on the GOP side. One by one the candidates are falling apart. First Rick Perry, then Herman Cain and now it appears that Mitt Romney is losing support. One poll shows Gingrich up a whopping 21% over Romney among likely GOP voters nationwide. If Gingrich is leading in the polls, you know the GOP has a serious problem. If Gingrich wins the GOP nomination, republicans are toast because there is no way Gingrich is going to beat Obama even with a very tough economy on Obama's watch.
"Not long ago, many pundits agreed that the Republican nomination was Mitt Romney's to lose. Now, with one recent poll showing Gingrich up a whopping 21% over Romney among likely GOP voters nationwide (and wide leads in early states like Iowa, South Carolina and Florida), it appears the former Massachusetts governor could actually lose this thing in the next few weeks."
He's not black
He's not a woman
He's not a member of a wacko religion
Hypocrisy and stupidity don't matter.
I mean if you are a hard core Republican, determined to vote Republican no matter what- then it must suck to be you. FACT- ALL the republican candidates are a complete JOKE.
Yes, Obama will get re-elected. As he should. Don't let the haters fool you. They are a minority. Come election day, it will be a landslide.
I'm happy to vote again for Obama. He's the best president we've had in decades.
Romney will get the Rep nod. He will lose because people who are outside the fray care more about "feel" than substance. Obama's likability factor is far above what Romney will ever get. Furthermore, the economy is improving and by next November it will be obvious to everyone that we are "on the right track" economically once again.
If for some reason, Newt does get the nomination he will be crushed.

Romney believes a prophet named Joseph Smith came down from the sky and wrote a few more books for the bible.
Neo-cons won't touch him.
There are several reasons why Republicans aren't sold on Mitt Romney. First of all John McCain beat Mitt Romney in the primaries in 2008 and John McCain lost to Obama. Secondly Republicans want to frame the 2012 debate around Obamacare and they can't do that with Mitt Romney as the nominee because he imposed the same public healthcare program in his state as governor. In fact Obamacare was modeled after Romnicare. Thirdly Romney is not as likable as Obama and comes off as a shady career politician. Lastly Romney's Mormon faith is a big issue. There are some things about the Mormon faith that are way out there.
The only person left to nominate is Gingrich which is why he is leading the GOP polls. Gingrich has way too much baggage and is part of the old Washington establishment. Tea Party voters won't be enthusiastic about him and he certainly won't get support from independents because he is too far to the right.
Then there is the impact of Occupy Wall Street which is made up of mainly liberals who will never vote for a republican. This movement is stronger than the Tea Party and OWS people will be voting in large numbers. With all time low congressional approval ratings, the OWS effect may even help democrats take back the house.

I fully agree with you on OWS voters.
Young people, once again, will be out voting in record numbers.
here are a few things on a long list of newt baggage
Newt was cheating on this woman fairly openly for years. He even refused to pay his child support and the church had to feed her and the chidren and pay to get their utilities turned back on. His wife had to petition the courts to have his pay from Congress garnished just to survive.
He wont get support from the GOP evangelicals either. This is the best case scenario for Obama. Lets face it, Newt's baggage is too heavy for Air Force One! His baggage has baggage LOL

Actually, the whole entire field of GOP potentials is a best case scenario for any Democratic incumbent, whether it be Obama, Roosevelt or the man in the moon.

All Gingrich has to do to ensure losing, if not the nomination, then the general election, is to keep yapping his mouth about poor children and poor neighborhoods and bragging about how his granddaughter (whose grandpa is a multi-millionaire) saved her money and bought an I-Pod, something many of these other kids will probably never even see.
The smugness and arrogance of Gingrich just overwhelms me.
Good news on the economy this morning with more hiring being done. President Obama will get an easy win in eleven months.
