In other news, as a Republican, I will never vote for Romney. Talk about sham!

Who do you think is shooting down all of the conservative Republican candidates? Hint: It's not the Democrats. They'd rather eviscerate them during the General Election when the GOP has no other candidate to replace them. Think...which candidate has been untouched? Which candidate went from bridesmaid to bride only after all of those other people said "no" to running? When the last one (Christie) said "no" who did Christie immediately throw his support to and why? He could have done it before he was courted or waited longer. And who has close ties to Wall Street where the money is? Yeah, I'm saying the Republican Machine is behind it not the candidate. He was, after all, only about their 5th choice.

I think the candidates pretty much shot themselves down, mostly with their own ineptitude. You can't fool people once you are on the national stage. I wouldn't say Mitt Romney has been 'untouched' either. He has been one of the most maligned by the right wing media and talk radio. As far as scandal, the man has lived an exemplary life...not that it counts for much anymore it seems in the Republican party. He has already been thoroughly vetted for this position five years ago. That does make some difference.

If Romney, who can't inspire a matchstick, is the candidate, then the least miserable outcome is re-election of Obama-bin-Bush, with the republicans maintaining a majority in the House and something like a 52-48 split in the Senate, either majority, it doesn't matter.

That, indeed, could set up a run for Jeb Bush in 2016 and/or Clinton-bin-Rockefeller, it doesn't matter.

The Bush family has like a two-century history in this country, in the last century they have developed power through every major sector of the economy, manufacturing, finance, oil, and of course in politics itself, fear-inspiring at the least.

In any case, the US republic is all but dead, what counts is global power in the hands of oil-men, money-men and gun-men, using nation-state governments, remnants of a by-gone age, as tools.

That is the reality, dear friends.

Good Luck!

Everyone of these GOP candidates were 'caught' (shot down) even before they got started....because of their Marred, scared, blundering PAST!

Gingrich angrily refused to answer a TV reporter tonight, while closing his car trunk. He is trapped by his connection to 'Freddie Mac.' His reputation as a cheating, cold-hearted husband, to three wives...Newt knows he was Toast, even as he gained ground, until the last few days.

Cain, same situation, looked good...until his past flew in his face...and then his 'Perry' like bumbling mental breakdown when asked about Libya...and women trouble....and Cain is Toast.

Romney is still skating, but his many 'past duel personality' positions will not be wiped away. The Morman liability... He should be Toast...as in 2008.

Huntsman and Paul are not Republicans (Libertarians)...Huntsman's connection to BO, like Romney, a Morman, not popular or acceptable to GOP base, being just a few of many reasons he ..never got started...and is Toast.

Paul, far from the Republican base positions (Libertarian, etc,) was doomed years ago. But, because of some popular stances regarding the Constitution, etc., is still hanging around...but was Toast, nevertheless, from the start.

Perry, too many flaws to list, but are now evident...and his campaign is Toast.

No, Laura..these candidates were not shot down by anyone...or groups, etc., ...they were simply not suitable from the out-set ...to be the next GOP Republican nominee or POTUSA 2012.

As for Who???? I haven't a clue, Do you????

It looks like the Cain threads are withering away. I guess his campaign is running out of steam.
