Republican Carl Paladino, aided by a 4 -1 margin among Tea Partiers, trails New York State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo, the Democratic candidate for Governor, 49 - 43 percent among likely voters, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released today.
Cuomo leads 87 - 8 percent among Democrats while Paladino leads 83 - 13 percent among Republicans and 49 - 43 percent among independent voters, the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University survey, conducted by live interviewers, finds.
Paladino is going after Cuomo big time, tying Andy to the subprime mortgage mess, due to Andy's management at HUD.
This week Paladino wrote Cuomo, the son of former Gov. Mario Cuomo: "For the first time in your life be a man. Don't hide behind daddy's coattails even though he pulled strings to advance your career every step of your way. Come out and debate like a man."
Seems like Cuomo is hemming and hawing about having a debate. Coward.
Interesting. Your usual gold standard of polls, Rasmussen, released one on the NY gubernatorial race a couple days ago which shows Cuomo 16 points up..
I just heard that Mayor Bloomberg endorsed Cuomo. No surprise, an elitist supporting the elite. I disagree with everything Bloomberg says and does. He is one of my most disliked politicians of all time.

I'm calling bs, considering how Democratic NY is, to have breakouts like this, the sample is EXTREMELY Republican. Not to mention women are always more likely to vote then men and this shows the opposite. Not a chance.
