Hello-
I hope I am posting this question in the right location (please forgive me, I'm new to this website!)

Well, I am looking for a safe place to go running in El Paso... preferably the East side. Does anyone know of tracks around here or safe trails to run on?

I appreciate any responses, thanks!

Many of the local parks have asphalt walking/running paths. On the Eastside, I've used the ones on the Edgemere Median and at Eastwood (Album) Park.

The EPISD high school tracks should be available when they are not being used for school practice or events. Burgess on Edgemere is in the EPISD.

Up and Running has a new Eastside store on Montwood; the staff there can probably direct you to some other options. Their phone number is 881-4590.

Sorry this is not east side, but there is a fabulous trail maintained by the county that parallels the river on the west side - about 10 miles long, starts just north of Country Club Road and goes all the way to Anthony TX/NM stateline.

That one is definitely worth getting to - and there's one on North Resler that goes all the way to Transmountain Rd, plus some nice ones along Artcraft.

They should extend the river path all the way over to the East side of town.
