Got in a fender bender in Mexico. Long story short is insurance no cover this one, so gotta pay out of pocket. Anyone know of a decent [read: honest] body shop, preferably central, west, or not too far east? I'd like to avoid Alameda at all costs.

You are lucky you were not thrown in jail... getting in an accident in Mexico is not a good thing. As I recall, when I lived in El Paso, auto body shops were in almost all neighborhoods South of I-10.
