Default Because?

Are you looking for a safe place to T or T for your kids or just looking to score? Heck my neighborhood must be good b/c lots of cars show up that I know do not belong to my neighbors.

The neighborhoods with lots of lights on and decorations. The ones where people are into it by dressing up themselves are funnest.

I dont give candy to people who drive up anymore... I give them a trick. I give them a bag with a Charcoal Brick in it and a card that says "YOU SHOULD NOT BE SO GREEDY, STAY IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD."

But they're just kids! I used to sort of think that way -- because when you live in a neighborhood that's considered rich because people living there make more than $20,000 a year, you can be overwhelmed by the number of kids coming to the door.

It does seem wrong because those people from certain neighborhoods won't buy candy, won't put up decorations but pack up their kids to bring to the neighborhoods that do. It's wrong but if someone is the only family in a neighborhood that is willing to participate it doesn't work and so it's part of the El Paso tradition that you just try to make it fun anyway. Or -- did we forget what it was like being a kid?

I'm just kidding.. to be honest this year even with drive & drop trick or treaters we may of only had 20 kids at most. Normally we have over 100. We set up a little haunted house in the yard, and have loose candy for the big kids and bags set up with toys and candy for the little kids.. we even gave away glow sticks this year. But it was a sad turn out.. Lots of houses in our area normally give out candy, not this year we were like 1 of 3 on our section of the street.

I had over 150 kids, as some vans from Juarez came over to trick or treat

And I am glad they did, Juarez is scary enough, and with bullets flying everywhere, they are more than welcome to trick or treat safely on this side of the border.
