Never been to the gyms on post but I would like to start working out again. What gym is the best one there? I am looking for one that doesn't get too packed. Also what time is there less people? Thanks!

While preparing Soldiers for the mission ahead, the NCO trainer always stresses the basics of fieldcraft and physical hardening. He knows that the tools provided by technology will not reduce the need for mentally and physically fit Soldiers. Soldiers will continue to carry heavy loads, convoy for hours or days, and clear terrorists from caves and urban strongholds. With sleep often neglected in fast-paced operations, tactical success and failure is a direct correlation to the Soldiers’ level of physical fitness. Taking care of Soldiers means making sure they are prepared for whatever challenge lies ahead. You have to have a common access card (military ID) to gain entry to any of the physical fitness centers. So basically they are military/ military dependents/ retired military and Army civilian are allowed and no one else. there was a big problem with the civilians around the Ft Stewart (Savannah GA area) gaining access only to steal equipment and disrespect the facility. Sorry to mess your day up with this.

If you're a dependent or military, then the gym i have always gone to is Stout gym. It's the largest one ,unless the new one on Biggs is bigger, but i have never been to that one.
I have found that the early mornings, lunch time, and around 4-closing is when they are all pretty busy. The best time to go is from 8-11am and 1-4ish pm. any other time especially the early mornings and evenings is just swamped with people.

There is the Soto gym it just open and is very nice. Soto gym is out on Biggs field. There is limited parking but it is worth it.
This is the nicest gym on post at this time and they have everything you can want.

That didn't answer my question. I have an ID otherwise I wouldn't be asking...
