As Washington reels from the news of 10.2 percent unemployment, the Center for Responsive Politics is out with a new report describing the wealth of members of Congress.
Among the highlights: Two-hundred-and-thirty-seven members of Congress are millionaires. That’s 44 percent of the body – compared to about 1 percent of Americans overall.
now that is the 1st thing i have heard about congress that i like. successful people are running the country. now if we could get those successful people out of our pocket then we would be smoking.

As much as I think most in congress are crooks who don't care for their constituants at all, and would love to see term limits to clean out the corruption, being a millionaire is not saying much today.

Not every millionaire earned it the hard way, most got it the easy way "Inheritance".

I'd be more interested in how many current ones were not millionaires before Congress/the Presidency and gained their wealth after becoming members of Congress/the President.
You know, I'm not a fan of John Kerry but his wife is rich. Can't hold that against him.
