When will it stop ?
And this doesn't count other firms (Insurance) that want to become bank-like and apply.

110 banks have asked for $170B under bailout plan - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081115/ap_on_bi_ge/meltdown_banks;_ylt=ArHEyQCeRMSuff06id6mxoys0NUE - broken link)

"At least 110 banks have requested more than $170 billion from the Treasury Department's rescue fund, and many more are expected to have submitted applications before Friday's deadline.

The tally doesn't include requests from four life insurance companies that are seeking regulatory approval to purchase savings and loans in order to become eligible for government funds."

I opened an oatmeal slurry take out place and business has gotten bad. Not many people wanting slurry these days. I think a billion dollar injection would help my slurry business. If not, no biggy. I'll just take the injection, sell the slurry business for 1 K in bankruptcy proceedings and we'll all be good.

What?

SLURRRY HATER! WHY do you HATE AMERICA!

My home has declined approx $150,000 in value in the past 2 years. I sent Hank Paulson a letter requesting a check for the $150K. Haven't heard back yet, but I'm sure it's on the way.
