Anyone know how this deal if it goes through would effect Jackson Insurance, which I believe is owned by WAMU?

No clue, it seems from the article though that they're doing a conference call around 9pm eastern to hammer out the details

I am on the investor call and they bought all WaMu's branch banking operations for only $1.9 billion dollars and they are getting all 5400 branches.

Not to hijack this thread into old homes week for Pittsburghers, but I miss it. Next, we'll be talking about pierogies and babuskas and how much it hurt to see Big Ben getting annihilated in Cleveland. My brother was just there and told me it's looking good. The new PNC building is topped off, right? It will add nicely to the already beautiful skyline.
