We started canning extra veggies etc. from our garden two and a half years ago, we felt something was funny in markets, we never lived during the depression ,but getting prepared for one. IF we are wrong, no biggie, we are not weathy, but we give what ever extra to a local food bank, and others who need it, like foster parents with many kids, that do a good caring job. When we think of others less fortunate than ourselves, then we don't sweat the small stuff- I would say don't panic, but start getting ready, cash won't be worth much, but food ,hunting equipt.and supplies will feed your family, seeds are a good idea, grow extra to help a neighbor, you will get satisfaction that money can't buy. IF you live where there is plenty to burn, then build a Woodgas unit, for generating heat , power, pumping water, cooking. i am not generally a doomdayer, but now is the time to store up on usables,if you go shopping buy 4-6 extras of can goods, dry beans, dry fruit,,peppers ,peppers and more peppers ! We love too!,by the way got watta! Fishing gear would be a good idea, like trout lines to catch some fish to smoke to preserve-keep in mind, folks i am positive about us American Spirited Good People, so remember to help others . Remember we are the Home of the Brave ,oh and a little praying won't hurt. Best Wishes, AJ and Denise
ps we are still planning to move back out
West ,(NM) ,when we sell our place-haha might be old by then!
