"Taxpayers will be protected, the Fed said, because the loan is backed by the assets of AIG and its subsidiaries. The loan is expected to be repaid from the proceeds of the asset sales."
The real terrorist are the ones driving our country deeper and deeper into debt. No one in their right mind would handle their finances like this. These wealthy players are ruining the lives of wage earners.
Yea, the Fed says taxpayers will be saved? Well its the taxpayers money they are using to bail out AIG and the rest, or should I say the taxpayers borrowed money that gets all of further into debt. This is how financial systems have crashed in other countries. When are people going to get a clue that Corporations need to be regulated so that when they fail we the taxpayer are not on the hook for their bad and crooked business decisions. Think the corporate bigwigs are losing their personal fortunes? Hell no, they have that socked away in private investments. This lack of regulation that was started by the popularly famous idiot Ronald Reagan has come back to bite the public big time. THAT IS WHY WE NEED TO GET THE REPUBLICANS OUT OF OFFICE, because they ALWAYS support big business, ALWAYS! John McCain is just another puppet of big oil and corporations, he has not a clue about issues facing the average America. No big changes can be made overnight and it won't happen in one administration, but we have to get started NOW!
