Since you posted on an old thread rather than starting a new one for yourself, I'm not sure how many posters will take the time to read thru...you could start your own thread with the same info you posted above...but in the meantime, I'll put my two cents in.

We are not vets here and always suggest you seek professional advice/help when you have a doubt about what's going on with your pet. I'd suggest you find the money to take Mister in to be checked and evaluated.

But I'll ask a couple of questions...I don't know where you live or how you live, but is he too warm at night and maybe waking up because of this? Is there water nearby to quench his thirst? Maybe you could use a fan near his sleeping space if this is the case. What does he do when he wakes up? Get a drink? Does he need to go out to potty?

See, all I can do is guess...I'm not a pro and Mister is not right here in front of me...and we can't diagnose for you. Please try to find a way to take him to a vet if you're really worried about him.

No; he needs a vet. Any physical problem is "wrong" not just "serious" ones.

Sometimes they pant when they have to go to the bathroom but that would not explain him doing that every night unless you see him eliminating right afterwards. He could be in pain. I'm sorry to be mean but it's really tiresome seeing so many people getting PUPPIES then in the same sentence saying they can't even afford a vet for them. WHY??? It's no secret they need food and vets and medicine and at least SOMETHING from the store to chew on.

Jax used to breath like that when he was sleeping, vet told me it was normal. It really freaked me out though so I completely get the concern.
