Well....it didn't take long. DH & I decided that the best tribute to our Sammie would be giving another rescue Chessie a chance at a good life full of love and fun as soon as possible. I put the word out to my rescue friends and I think we have a winner!
I'm happy to introduce Cassy - soon to be (hopefully) the newest member of our pack! I'm heading on a road trip all the way up to Pa starting tomorrow to meet her. If all goes well, I'll be bringing her back home to Texas with me. No dog will ever replace Sammie in our hearts but we are hoping that this young lady will help to fill the hole in our household created with the passing of Bandit and then Sammie. Isn't she a cutie?
She's beautiful. What lovely lines. That's a fer piece up to PA. Y'all be careful on the road. You are going to love her and she will love you back. It's really wonderful to have these gentle spirits in our lives.
safe travels, va ..... and please keep us posted on her and on you .......
she's a pretty girl .... and a lucky one.......
