I can almost assure you that we will have BSL in San Diego very shortly because of many irresponsible Pitbull owners. It's already ridiculously hard to find apartments that will accept Pitbulls and Camp Pendleton just issued a statment saying no Pitbulls are allowed on base, forcing many families to get rid of their pets and in turn causing the Pitbull rescue to no longer adopt to military families.

We have farmers markets in the city almost every day (except Monday) in different locations. Only 2 of those allow pets, and those 2 are looking to ban pets there as well, for a variety of reasons. Our markets are on pulbic streets, set up kind of like street fairs, so it's not like the dogs are near the produce.

Well, yesterday a Pitbull attacked a woman and a cop at one of the ones that allows dogs and the officer shot and killed the dog in front of hundreds of people at the market. So because of an idiot owner who owned a breed he clearly cannot handle, the rest of us will now suffer.

Ocean Beach, if you're familiar with SD, is notorious for Pitbulls owned by some of the trashiest people anywhere. I took PC to their dog beach once and have never been back. It's almost all unaltered, aggressive Pitbulls with idiot owners. We now live in an area with lots of Pits, yet the owners are different. Every single one of them is friendly and plays well with other dogs. It's the owners, not the dogs, who should be banned. It's such a shame that they take such an awesome breed and train them to be aggressive.
