more like too many idiots that shouldn't own any breed of dog and too many idiots placing the blame on a breed of dog instead of the idiots that own the dangerous dogs. and of course, too many idiots in the media that can't tell the difference between a "pit bull" and a great dane and like to hype up dog attacks by labeling them as vicious pit bull attacks so they can get better ratings

I am sad everytime I see a pit bull at work who now has to wear one of the mandated metal muzzles. They look so sad.

A LOT of insurance companies (home owner insurance) will drop you if you have pit bulls. Some vets are "creative" when describing the breed (for tags) if your dog happens to be a pit bull.

It's really ridiculous. What can we do to try to change peoples minds about this breed???There has got to be something.I have two pitbull pups and we had to put one down as an american bulldog mix and the other as a terrier lab mix....Can't say its going to be believable once theyre full grown...

If your American Pit Bull Terrier is the correct size, it should be between 35 lbs to 65 lbs. I would suggest telling them it's a Mountain Cur or Mountain Cur mix(throw lab in there). Look it up, most of the time, they have no idea what it is, as long as it's not a "Pit Bull," your safe.

If it's on the bigger side, let your imagination run, LOL. A lot of these Bully pits have mastiff in them, say Mastiff and Lab, etc...

I live in Honolulu and today there was an article in the paper about how a pit bull ban hearing will take place. The rep of the proposed bill said she doesn't think it will get passed because the economy of the state is a little more important of a topic to focus on, but just the fact that it's getting a hearing is scary. I never thought hawaii would ever be in the mix for a pit bull ban. We are already creating organizations to put this ignorant ban down and the humane society is not supporting the ban.
