hello everyone,

I'm new here and have been searching for the perfect thread but I thought instead of hijacking one I should create my own.

I have three rescued dogs and have never been interested to know their breed but my little one 2 years old Kira have been eating 3x as much as my other two (more mature dogs) but just getting skinnier and I'm a bit worried.

However, I think it might be her breed mix that she's just a skinny type of dog. Can anyone please help me identify my three dogs and see if I can find some helpful information on how they should be developing and notice alarming changes.

Thank you everyone!

Kira - small fluffy hair black and white (2 years old)
Basil - medium size, black and white spots, long upward ears (6 years old)
Fate (paralyzed so will only have sitting pictures) - red long hair ( 1,5 years old)

Basil looks like a toy fox terrier. Or maybe a rat terrier mix.

Kira looks like a border collie, Shih Tzu mix

Fate looks like a chihuahua mix.

All very cute.

What nice looking dogs! Where do you live, it looks quite lovely in that one photo of Fate.

I agree with oregon except maybe a dash of spaniel in Kira and a soupçon of Pom in Fate's recipe.

Some dogs just have higher metabolisms, activity levels and so on, so it's not unusual for two similarly-sized dogs to have differing caloric requirements. If Kira is actually losing weight while eating a lot that might warrant a vet visit for a general wellness check and maybe a blood panel.
