This story doesn't surprise me one bit.

Aren't dogs amazing?

sweet story- my family snuck in a big bag my Bichon puppy of about 6 months age when I was hospitalized for about 2 months. In fact a nurse gave them the bag and the suggestion as I was really missing him so much. But she made it all hush hush so the kids really had an adventure every time they brought Paul in. Paul would snuggle close to me and lick me till my hands were raw. I sincerely think his visits and the happiness he brought my kids helped me to recover quicker.

Oh, I have no doubt he helped you to recover quicker. Since many hospitals now allow dog visitation, there must be studies somewhere which came to this conclusion too. I bet Paul was just as happy to see you as you were to see him.

Amazing story but even more amazing that the dog made it across a parkway and very busy roads alive! The dog had to cross at least 2 highways to get to that hospital. How the dog knew which hospital is pretty incredible too.

I wonder if the dog was taken to the hospital and left in the car while the patient was admitted? If so, he just went back to the last place he saw Dad.
