Cost of meds for Cushings? (vet, costs, food, test)

Our dog is being tested next week, from what I've read it seems likely she does have Cushings. Just got diagnosed with an enlarged heart. I know there are several meds that might be prescribed so it might vary. Just trying to get a rough idea what they cost and maybe places/websites where they might be cheaper.

Am considering making her food at home to save on those costs but our vet doesn't seem to like that idea. I'd supplement with vitamins to be sure she got all the nutrients she needed.
