they just made you responsible for a flat 25% of the cost
The donut hole closed for all drugs in 2020, meaning that when you enter the coverage gap you will be responsible for 25% of the cost of your drugs. In the past, you were responsible for a higher percentage of the cost of your drugs.
so i jumped from 11 a month to 245 a month for trulicity
I pay $400 month, $1500 deductible, single. PPO. 90/10. I think it sucks compared to when I worked but I know it does not suck overall. (No I did not have a gov job).
But I certainly think a lot of retirees would struggle to pay for the meds.
Not sure why I popped into this thread really as not diabetic. I guess because I was curious about all the people on ozempic or whatever it is and wanted to see if this was similar.
so now we are jumping to 3mg of trulicity next month .copay is 245 a month
so i wii shop for a part D to see what covers it better .
so we went from 11 dollars for .75 to 89 dollars for 1.5 mg to 245 for 3 mg
Yes, I also found out about the donut hole. I am so upset that I can’t even really bring myself to talk about it.
Mathjak, did your PCP bump you from .75 to 3 mg. of Trulicity? I was bumped to 1.5 & my A1C is 5.4 now. It went down pretty dramatically for me from 6.7, so hang in there.
My numbers are good. Took me about a year to get up to the 3mg. I had weight loss at the beginning but it has slowed down a lot.
I have Medicare and BCBS Federal. I pay $25 for 3 months of Trulicity. I use BCBS for my prescriptions.
Good luck!
wow great price …i checked every part d plan and all have this gap
