Rather than sound like some rube that has never been or lived outside of Iowa and say Des Moines is the best city on earth, I will say it is a very good place to live. It has a lot of quality things to do for its size and it continues to get better.

It is now a pretty impressive place to take friends from other places I've lived.

There are plenty of places much more scenic and with a lot more things to do, but Des Moines is a very high quality place to live without a lot of the hassles of a big city.

A lot of publications think so also....

I missed anyone saying that Des Moines is the best city on earth in the first two posts. Am I blind?
