Hey guys. I'm moving there shortly from Oregon and one of the things that worries me the most is meeting new people. First of all, I'm male and 26 years old. I know I will be meeting people at my work but I'd also like to find a group of people outside of that realm. I don't drink so I'm not real interested in the bar crowd IF possible. I'll be residing in a neighborhood near downtown.

Maybe some social or sports clubs I could be directed to? I had read about that Denver Newbies group on Facebook so I looked it up but it looks like it receives little attention and there haven't been any meet-ups for a while.

I'd really like to find a group of people my age to hang out with. Any specific places I should look into besides that MeetUp website?

Have you googled sports clubs in Denver? You might have some luck there. If you play soccer, there are teams. Join the Y or a Fitness class and get into a class. There are outdoor newspapers that are free like at the grocery store and if you pick something like that up at the grocery store, there probably are clubs and stuff in there. There's a lot of stuff like that for 20 somethings-this is a young town...

Hey Im moving out to Denver to work at a sports and social club company. It is called Denver PlayCoEd. Heres the link: Sports Leagues, Tournaments, Social Events & More! Check it out. You can find leagues and people to join with on there. Also a company we work with is called Sportsvite and it is a social meeting space for people looking to join or create sports leagues. Sportsvite | Manage Sports Teams Online — Adult Leagues, and Recreational Activities Check those out and hopefully you find something.
