Hi all!

We are moving from Europe to Denver with my girlfriend at the beginning of August. I'm going to be a student of Colorado University at Denver (1250 Fourteenth Street) and she will study in Denver University (2360 South Gaylord Street). We need to find apartment. Could anybody be so kind to advise the best place according to the following requirements:
- close to bus station or tramway so that there is a possibility to get easily to both - CU and DU.
- it should be fairly safe and friendly area.

Probably anyone can provide some info on how to find apartment in Denver (the best way), average prices (more/less expensive areas) and what can we expect for 700-900$ per month.

Thanks for help!!!

DU is off University Blvd and CU is near Colfax & Speer. CU is on to light rail lines, and DU's will open in November. Both are very accessible via bus, see www.rtd-denver.com for transportation information.

Look in DU, Wash Park, Byers, Baker, Lincoln Park, cory-merrill, platt park or univeristy park. All between Hampden & Cofax and Colorado & Sante Fe.

At least a year. Ideally, if we really like the place, we'll stay there for 4 years.
