Some posts at the beginning of this thread mention traffic and commuting times had improved after t-rex. There's an interesting post here showing how after spending a billion dollars, traffic speeds are now just as bad as they were before the project- After I-25 Was Widened, It Filled Back Up With Cars in Less Than 5 Years | Streetsblog Denver. The clear solution is to live close to where you work

Is there any way your job would allow (and if you'd be willing) to start work really early? I live in Parker and commute downtown every day (Lincoln Ave to Broadway). My hours are from 6:30 - 2:45.

I usually merge onto I-25 at Lincoln Ave around 5:50 and there is zero traffic at that time. I'm doing 80 MPH within seconds. Then once I get off onto Lincoln PEEEWWWWMMMMMM all the day downtown.

And on the way home, leaving 18th & California @ 2:45, I zoom down Broadway to 25 in minutes. there is no traffic backed up on I-25 yet either, traffic is doing 65-70.

Driving from Castle Rock to the Tech Center is okay, but can be backed up from the Castle Pines exit until C-470 from 7:45-8:30. Sometimes there isn't a delay. When there's a wreck or when there's snow/rain, it's worse. Same with coming home, but the backup is usually from Arapahoe to Lincoln.

IMO, it would be pretty awful to wake up every morning and have to drive past the Tech Center all the way to downtown.
